Jim grew up on Torrance Place. One special memory of Jim saw hm being very kind to a newly arrived boy from an eastern Europeon country in the 1950's. Jim took the time to include Waldimar in play and helping him learn English. Jim also had a silly side too. He especially liked to sing the "Purple People Eater" song on the way home from school. He was also a good friend with Greg Barthel who also recently passed away. Now, rest in peace Jim.

Dear Donna, Thank you for this very thoughtful comment on the memory of Jim Peters. Marilyn and I also remember Jim as a kind and cheerful classmate. Best, Greg and Marilyn

I remember Jim in HS as  a fun and jovial guy, always laughing.  On the Washington trip during our Senior Trip, Jim, Doug Glass and I roomed together and we had a good time.   I had talked with Jim a few years ago, after he moved down to South Carolina.   Said  he liked it down there, away from the Gowanda winters, at least.   He was going thru some kind of illness though, and the calls stopped.   Sorry I didn't get to see him the last reunion, but seems he went to Arizona for his grandson's HS graduation, I think .
